Diamond Edition Carbon Fiber Shelby Cobra Race Car

Built as a race car, only 10 limited "Diamond Edition" 1965 Shelby Cobra Carbon Fiber bodied race cars will be available worldwide.

Pushing the limits of carbon fiber, Classic Recreations has engineered and remastered the Shelby Cobra into a one-of-a-kind race car that pushes the limit. The officially licensed Shelby Cobra dubbed the "Diamond Edition" in honor of Shelby's 60th anniversary, will be a force on the track. Granted a unique CSX4000 series license by Carroll Shelby Licensing, each of the 10 roadsters will feature a specially designed custom diamond encrusted badge and display Carroll Shelby's commemorative signature on the dash.

The iconic Cobra was infused with modern engineering and reimagined to include updated technology and more comfort, like an extended cabin for extra legroom. This extremely lightweight Cobra features a staggering power-to-weight ratio and improved geometry. The body was engineered in autoclave-cured carbon fiber, including the floor and doors, so the structure weighs only 88 pounds. The custom designed, geometrically correct chassis and suspension was designed by Jason Engel, founder and Vice President of Design and Engineering of Classic Recreations.

The Diamond Edition 1965 Shelby Cobra is for offroad use only and is not street legal.
