What does Shelby do
Sixty years ago, the Shelby GT350 redefined performance and ignited a new era in motorsports. Shelby American transformed the 1965 Mustang into an international icon-and for 2026, they've elevated that legacy once again.
Working alongside industry-leading partners, Shelby American has engineered the most advanced GT350 to date. Built on the foundation of the 5.0L V8, the 2026 GT350 is offered in two exhilarating configurations: a naturally aspirated 480-horsepower version or a supercharged powerhouse delivering up to 810 horsepower. The power-train is paired with a suite of Shelby-engineered enhancements in suspension, exhaust, cooling, and aerodynamics, creating a vehicle designed to thrill whether carving canyon roads or dominating track days.
The GT350 is available with either a manual or automatic transmission-and now, for the first time in decades, in both fastback and convertible configurations. Shelby American has increased horsepower, optimized weight balance, refined suspension tuning, and enhanced drivability to ensure the GT350 is as rewarding on a daily commute as it is during spirited weekend driving.
The GT350's design reflects its purpose. From limited-edition anniversary badging to its functional aluminum hood with heat extraction, aggressive aero elements, and optional carbon-fiber components, every element is engineered to honor the legacy of the original while embracing modern performance and refinement.
Just as in 1965, the GT350 remains exclusive. For 2026, production once again mirrors Shelby's historic approach with tightly limited build numbers. Vehicles will be available through select Ford dealers across the U.S., with a small number of international units produced through authorized Shelby mod shops. Production begins in the second quarter of the year-continuing the legacy of one of the most celebrated names in American performance.
